Johnny Depp appeared to look Amber Heard’s sister Whitney Henriquez straight in the eye as she took a stand in the high-profile defamation lawsuit between the feuding exes.
The move comes after weeks in which Depp, 58, refused to make eye contact with the Aquaman actress during her Blockbuster trial because he vowed in 2016 that she would “never see his eyes again.”
Heard, 38, testified Monday that she tried to look her ex-husband in the eye during her $100 million defamation trial, but he avoided her gaze.
But when Heard’s sister Henriquez, 33, took the witness stand on Wednesday, Depp looked straight at her in a conspicuous move.
During her testimony, Henriquez said that during Heard and Depp’s relationship, there was “almost always a fight” when the actor was drinking or using drugs.
Henriquez told the court, “It seemed to be oscillating pretty quickly. He was sober for a while, then he fell off the car and it went back and forth.

During her testimony, Henriquez said that during Heard and Depp’s relationship, there was “almost always a fight” when the actor was drinking or using drugs.
When asked about her sister’s changes during the relationship, Henriquez said, “In the beginning, Amber was Amber, she was loud, funny, funny, she laughed a lot, was this happy, happy, fun, loving thing surrounded by friends. A progression took so long. It was like watching a gunshot in slow motion.
“She stopped sleeping, not so loud, not so sociable.”
Heard’s weight dropped to “100 pounds soaking wet” and she was “emaciated, not sleeping, developing a heart condition, her eyes were sunken.”
Henriquez said that Depp gained control of Heard’s clothes and that since they had the same stylist, he “essentially controlled what she wore” at events.
Depp complained about Heard making films, especially if they had sex scenes, and was “vehemently opposed to her even working.”
Depp on drugs was “almost unrecognizable” to him when he was sober, Henriquez said.
He would forbid her from having a password on her phone or force her to have a very simple one that he could remember, Henriquez said.
Henriquez said: “When he drank he would get very angry and say really nasty unkind things, usually about Amber. Terrible, terrible, terrible things’.
For example, when asked, she said, “Forgive my language, f**king cu**, f**king used up the garbage bag, slimy wh**e, limp wh**e.” F**king cunt got kicked out a bunch. Terrible things like this.’

During her testimony, Depp looked at Henriquez – a striking contrast to how he avoided all eye contact with Heard.
Depp said in 2016 that Heard could never look him in the eye again.
The courthouse in Fairfax, Virginia, was played an audio recording recorded in a San Francisco hotel room in 2016.
It was taken after Heard filed for divorce and obtained a restraining order against the Pirates of the Caribbean star.
In the shot, Heard tried to hug Depp, but when he refused, she said, “Please, I just want to hug you and say goodbye.”
Then Depp is heard saying, “I’m nothing to you, and I always will be nothing to you.” You won’t see my eyes again.’

In a tense moment, the two faced each other in court the day before, leaving Heard physically shivering.
The actress left the witness stand after telling the court how her ex-husband sexually assaulted her with a liquor bottle in Australia in March 2015 and threatened to kill her.
At the same time, the visually impaired dork got up and walked towards the Aquaman star.
Heard appeared to physically shudder and look scared, taking a step back as court officials immediately turned to Depp and raised their hands to warn him to stay away.
The actor then turned away and appeared to shrug and smile.
Heard was ushered to the side of the room by court officials before Depp went out the back door for a cigarette during the 15-minute break.
