It’s been almost a month since Johnny Depp slapped his ex-wife Amber Heard in court, and a lot has changed since then.
After being labeled as a violent and aggressive man with women, contracts for the protagonist of “Pirates of the Caribbean” began to run out, he was even separated from some of his characters and replaced by other actors.
Nevertheless; Now that the jury has ruled in his favor in the defamation case, Depp’s career has had a second wind, and proof of that is the recent role he’s won in a new film, the first following the controversial lawsuit.
Recently, the actor was caught on a trip to France, where he will start filming the film “Jeanne du Barry”, in which he will play no more and no less than Louis XV.
The film will not be released in theaters but will be filmed for streaming platforms, specifically Hulu, although it currently has no release date.

Depp will not play Jack Sparrow again
One of the projects that fell to Depp was that of the Disney franchise Pirates of the Caribbean, where he breathed life into the legendary Captain Jack Sparrow. Recently it was said that the company is looking into the return of the Histrion, even if they had made it a millionaire offer.
Unfortunately for all fans of the saga, Johnny has denied this information through his rep, who told NBC it was all wrong: “They made it up,” he said.
This ties in with earlier statements from producer Jerry Bruckheimer, who assured last May that resuming employment with Depp is not one of his plans: “No, at the moment. The future is not yet decided.”
