Lily-Rose Depp is delighted with her father Johnny’s career comeback.
The veteran star received a lengthy standing ovation at the Cannes Film Festival on May 16 for his role in Jeanne Du Barry, which was so emotional it brought tears to his eyes.
And the 59-year-old actor’s daughter, who defended her show The Idol this week, is happy he’s returned to the A-list.
“I’m really happy for him. “I’m super excited,” Lily-Rose, 23, told ET. “And it’s so great that we get to do projects that we’re very proud of.”
A source told People, “He’s really enjoying getting back to work and touring.” He’s managed to turn his life around. “He values his health and his work.”

Johnny, who successfully sued Amber for defamation in a lawsuit based on a comment she wrote about being a victim of domestic violence, received a seven-minute standing ovation when he arrived at the screening of the new film.
He has dismissed the notion that his new role – in which he speaks exclusively in French – was a “comeback”.
He added, “I keep wondering about the word ‘comeback’ because I haven’t gone anywhere.” In fact, I live about 45 minutes from here.
