This was the first time the Blurt star has been spotted in public, after lip-synching with Meghan Trainor’s mum on TikTok on Wednesday in a video where she explained her experience with her boss after she broke up a little more came out as gay two years ago, which many of her fans interpreted as being about Nickelodeon.

‘Storytime: January 2021, I’m born. The company I work for told me they needed to have a meeting with me ASAP,” Siwa wrote. “During that meeting, the PRESIDENT of the company negatively asked me, ‘What are you going to say to your young demographic?’

JoJo didn’t name the company, although fans were quick to point out that it was Nickelodeon, where she had worked for several years since leaving Dance Moms.

“It took me a second to process what I was being asked, and then…I replied…”THE TRUTH.”

“I’ve never seen a man roll his eyes so far in the back of his head. It was quiet, so I started talking again… I said, “I’m not going to hide who I am and who I love from anyone, ESPECIALLY from the next generation.” He didn’t like that very much.’

“But since I came out, SO many adults have said to me, ‘I wish I had someone like you when I was younger.’ Which always reminds me that I did the right thing and that I must never allow myself to be that someone changes who you are.”

She included a caption that read, “If this meeting was today I would literally just hit play on this song.”

A Nickelodeon spokesperson told when asked to comment: “We don’t know what incident or meeting JoJo is referring to, but it certainly didn’t happen at Nickelodeon.
