JoJo Siwa claims she didn’t receive an invite to the 2022 Kids’ Choice Awards on Sunday, despite receiving a nomination for the Favorite Social Music Star category.

After receiving questions from fans about her absence from the ceremony at The Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, the 18-year-old boomerang singer claimed to her 11.5 followers that she wasn’t on the guest list.

“Many of you have asked me why I’m not at the Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards tonight and the answer is very simple, I wasn’t invited,” the dancer revealed in the 14-second clip. “I’m not sure why, but I just didn’t get an invite.”

In her caption, Siwa added that she “didn’t want anyone to think it was like that” it was her “choice not to go” as she would have loved to have been in attendance.

The performer’s Dancing with the Stars family, which includes Olivia Jade and Brian Austin Green, were among the first to leave messages of support in their comments section.

“Your sweet loss ❤️,” wrote the 22-year-old daughter of Lori Loughlin and fashion designer Mossimo Giannulli.

Meanwhile, Green, 48, has fired: “F**k the kids choice awards [laugh face emoji] you are too good for her.’

Jersey Shore’s Snooki said she plans to write the network a “note,” and actress Mollee Gray theorized that Siwa didn’t get an invite because she was “the color of the rainbow” and they were [Nickelodeon] only orange.’

Her legions of fans, dubbed Siwanatorz, also took to social media to express their outrage and confusion.

In September, Siwa publicly called out Nickelodeon over the restrictions she said the company had put in place on their DREAM tour, which kicked off in January.

“I’m going on tour in January. My movie musical just released (with 6 new original songs)…Nickelodeon told me today that I’m not allowed to include any songs from the movie on my show,” JoJo tweeted.

Siwa continued, “These are MY songs, MY voice, MY writing. Does that seem fair???’

The former Dance Moms dancer then responded to her first heated tweet, writing, “There’s no reason why this music shouldn’t be included.”

Siwa’s film musical The J Team was produced by Nickelodeon and released September 3 on the Paramount+ streaming platform. In addition to starring in the film, JoJo also served as an executive producer.

In her tweets, the YouTube personality referenced the six songs she wrote and performed for the film’s soundtrack, which was released in July.

JoJo’s DREAM tour, also produced by Nickelodeon, first kicked off in May 2019 but its continuation has been postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The tour is scheduled to resume in January 2022, stopping in 37 cities.
