Jonnie Irwin has given his fans a health update amid his battle with terminal cancer as he revealed he has started hyperbaric oxygen therapy.
The 49-year-old TV host took to Instagram on Friday to reveal that he was loaned a hyperbaric oxygen chamber and shared snaps of it set up in his home.
Jonnie, who is battling terminal lung cancer that has spread to his brain since his diagnosis in 2020, told fans how therapy (HBOT) has helped him.
HBOT involves breathing 100 percent pure oxygen in a pressurized hyperbaric chamber, where the increased air pressure helps the lungs collect more oxygen.
To give an insight into the process, Jonnie shared selfies of himself sitting in his “comfy chair” in the chamber, wearing his special mask.

He talked about how he looked forward to his HBOT sessions and shared that he watches Netflix or catches up on work in the chamber.
Jonnie wrote alongside his post: “I can’t tell you how happy I am with the hyperbaric oxygen chamber that @o2worx lent me.”
“It’s great for people with my condition, but also for injury recovery and general wellbeing.” I’m not going to preach, but if you’re interested, google it – you’ll be surprised!
“This chamber is perfect for me, I don’t feel claustrophobic and it’s just big enough to fit my favorite comfy chair!”
“I actually look forward to every session because I know it’s good for me while I get to do a bit of work at the same time (watching Netflix, psst!). I’m just there!”
His post comes days after he paid a touching tribute to his wife Jessica Holmes as they went out to dinner to mark their seventh wedding anniversary.
Jonnie shared a snap on Instagram on Sunday of him and his wife of 40 years enjoying a crème brûlée at Mediterranean restaurant Lovage Desmond.
Jonnie looked relaxed in a white jumper, while Jessica looked effortlessly stylish in a black button-up shirt as they enjoyed a glass of bubbly.
