Jordan Petersons crusade against”political correctness“And apparently TwitterIt has been simmering for some time, as has his recent comments against the trans actor Eliot Page and even his temporary ban from the social media platform isn’t the first time he’s run afoul of it Elon Musk owned company.
He has previously been criticized for voicing his opinion on a sports illustrated Cover with plus size model Yumi Nu.
Peterson wrote to his 2.7 million followers: “Sorry. Not nice. And no amount of authoritarian tolerance will change that.” More than 10,000 users quoted the tweet, some of them questioning the author’s choice of words.
The 25-year-old model responded to the psychologist-author’s tweet by writing “H**s mad,” which garnered over 96.6k likes.
Known for his conservative views, the Canadian professor has more than 5 million YouTube subscribers. After posting his divisive tweet, he responded to “Panderers.”
He insisted that the decision to put a plus-size woman on Sports Illustrated’s swimsuit cover was the result of “a deliberate and cynical manipulation by the oh-so-virtuous politically correct.”
Just hours after posting his controversial analysis of the model, he detailed his decision to leave the app in a series of tweets, attributing it to unfavorable comments from users who responded to his tweets.
“I recently stopped accessing Twitter for three weeks as a test. Some of my co-workers have posted video links etc. It was a real relief. I started reading and writing more. I would say my life took a turn for the worse almost immediately,” he claimed.
“The endless barrage of vicious insults really isn’t seen anywhere else. I like following the people I know, but I think the platform’s incentive structure makes them inherently and dangerously insane,” continued Peterson.
The audience noticed the irony that Peterson complained about insults after unnecessarily insulting Nu first. Online commentators were quick to point out that the ardent free speech advocate was actually contradicting himself.
However, Peterson has maintained an active Twitter account since announcing his departure from the social media site.
Peterson’s account is temporarily suspended
Jordan Petersons The account was reportedly suspended on June 30 due to a tweet he made about a transgender actor Eliot Page Violated the Twitter Rules Against Hateful Conduct.
The Psychologist’s Daughter Michaela Peterson, also posted screenshots of the tweets she made criticizing Twitter and Elon Musk.
With that, the feud between the Youtube personality and the social media network will surely continue.
