“Out of respect for friends, contractors and fans, singersongwriter Jorge Arago is publicly announcing through his press office that he has been diagnosed with nonHodgkin’s lymphoma following a battery of tests,” the statement said.
“The artist will begin his treatment immediately and remains confident, under the care of hematologist Caroline Rebello, counting on everyone’s support, prayers and positive energies to remain calm. Arago will immediately fulfill his professional obligations as far as possible,” says the statement from the singer’s advisory board.

In March of this year, the singer, one of the founders of Grupo Fundo de Quintal, toured Europe with nine shows.

Types and Symptoms of NonHodgkin Lymphoma
There are over 20 different types of nonHodgkin lymphoma. After various tests that can detect the disease, doctors assess whether it is sluggish, growing relatively slowly, or aggressive and developing quickly.

Symptoms include swelling of the lymph nodes—in the neck, groin, and armpits—fever, abdominal or body pain, weight loss, enlarged chest and abdomen, cough, and shortness of breath.
