Just weeks after meeting each other at UFC 272, Jorge Masvidal and Colby Covington allegedly got into an argument outside a restaurant in Miami Beach, Florida.
Several sources have confirmed to MMA Fighting that the fighters were involved in some sort of incident that ended with the police responding to the restaurant, although no arrests appear to have been made.
Following the alleged incident, TMZ received video showing Covington surrounded by police outside a restaurant while also talking to Bob Menery of The Nelk Boys, who have become frequent UFC event guests.
In the video, Covington can be heard saying, “How does he know I’m here?”, which appears to be a reference to Masvidal.
Menery posted a video of Covington taken earlier in the night while they were having dinner, before the altercation with Masvidal took place on the street.
Miami Beach Police have not yet responded to comment about the situation.
Fox Sports 640 radio host Andy Slater first reported News of the incident on Monday evening via Twitter.
After the altercation took place, Masvidal tweeted a video in which he appeared to discuss the situation.
“Call it a ‘show your face’ challenge,” Masvidal said. “What’s the matter, I’m from Dade County. You say this shit that you should support. This is how my city rolls.
Masvidal also contacted another Instagram account of a friend who was apparently with him during the fight. On this account, Suleiman Yousef posted a note that said: “For everyone in my private messages, ask Colby to take a selfie right now.”
Masvidal’s manager Malki Kava also spoke out about the alleged incident.
I heard that someone outside of Miami who says he is a king is missing a tooth. Can anyone confirm this? I need a video as soon as possible.

Colby talked about the man’s children. I think it’s normal in your world, there is no disappointment. You sound like a cool hoe. https://t.co/8BKeFrQkVl

Of course, Masvidal and Covington have been involved in one of the most vexing rivalries in recent years after they were previously friends and training partners with the American Top Team in Florida.
Covington eventually parted ways with the team after their friendship became rocky, which Masvidal claimed began after the former interim UFC welterweight champion refused to pay one of his trainers to help him during training camp. Covington denied the claim, but the Masvidal scandal has spiraled further out of control in recent months.
The rivalry eventually culminated with a fight with Covington earning a unanimous decision over Masvidal at UFC 272. Following this, Masvidal vowed that his feud with Covington was far from resolved and he intended to continue their war on the streets the next time they faced each other. friend. different.
“He’s still like that if I see him on the street, I’ll give him everything I have to break his damn jaw,” Masvidal said at the post-fight press conference. “It doesn’t matter if I lost the wrestling matches today, I still think he’s a fucking n****, you know?”
MMA Fighting will provide more details on the situation as it becomes available.
