Joseph Baena took to his Instagram page and said he was ready to face Hurricane Hilary in the hours before the storm unleashed violent gusts of wind and heavy rain across California.

The actor and bodybuilder, the son of Hollywood legend Arnold Schwarzenegger, was making his way to the beach when ominous clouds rolled in over the shore.

Standing just feet from the oncoming waves, Baena struck a familiar pose, one arm raised up and pointing to the horizon while the other arm flexed his bulging biceps.

“Ready for Hurricane Hilary,” he announced in the caption of his post, which also included a black-and-white version of his photo.

It turns out his famous father, who was not only a movie icon and former California governor but also a Mr. Universe bodybuilding champion, had perfected the pose on Muscle Beach in Santa Monica in 1966 when he was just 19 was years old.

To show off his toned physique, Baena stripped down to a pair of skimpy black shorts similar to those bodybuilders wear to competitions.

Aside from mimicking his old move, the Los Angeles native looks a lot like his father did when he was in his early 20s in the 1960s.

During his acclaimed career, Schwarzenegger racked up five Mr. Universe wins and seven Mr. Olympia titles, widely regarded as one of the greatest bodybuilders of all time.

Despite celebrating his 76th birthday on July 30, the Terminator star revealed that he still weights for 30 minutes almost every day.

Baena had tried various career options since graduating from Pepperdine University in 2019, including working as a real estate agent, fitness model and DJ.

Like his father, acting and bodybuilding seem to be among his two passions, which he incorporates into his everyday life.

Baena has focused on his acting in recent years and in 2022 he starred in two films: Chariot and Bully High.

The Los Angeles native currently has no fewer than five productions in the works, including roles in Gunner, starring Luke Hemsworth, and Athena Saves Christmas, starring Cuba Gooding Jr.

The apple doesn’t fall far: it seems that Baena made a habit of copying some of the moves his father performed in competitions in the 1960s and ’70s

Baena was born in October 1997 as a result of an extramarital affair between Schwarzenegger and his family’s former housekeeper, Mildred Patricia “Patty” Baena.

At the time, the former California governor was married to Maria Shriver, whom he eventually separated and divorced after their secret affair became public.

The former couple had been together for 25 years when they decided to end their relationship, which included Shriver moving out of their Brentwood mansion in May 2011.

The former couple have four children together: sons Patrick, 29, and Christopher, 25, and daughters Christina, 32, and Katherine, 33.

As for Baena’s preparedness for Hurricane Hilary, weather forecasters are forecasting that desert and mountain regions in southern California and southern Nevada will be hit hardest by heavy rains as Hilary weakens into a tropical storm, according to the Los Angeles Times.

The risk of coastal flooding in LA County has fallen, but the risk of flooding inland is still significant given that sustained winds of 70 miles per hour were still experienced there

A large storm, Hilary has been described as roughly the size of the state of Arizona.

CNN reports how a California official has warned that Hilary could be one of the most devastating storms to hit the state in recent years
