Josh Hartnett is a married man.
The Pearl Harbor star secretly married his longtime sweetheart Tamsin Egerton in November 2021, his Page Six rep confirmed.
Hartnett and Egerton tied the knot at London’s Old Marylebone Town Hall, The UK Sun reported on Saturday, in a Soho venue seating just 12 people.
“They are amazed as always and wanted to make it official in a low-key case. It was a classy ceremony attended by only a few close relatives and friends,” said a friend of the couple.
“They are really happy to lead low-key lives away from showbiz parties and red carpets, so [they] happy to fly unnoticed.
The 40 Days and 40 Nights star, 43, and Egerton, 33, are the parents of three children. In January 2021, he confirmed that their third child was born.
“What I am most proud of is that I am a father of three, I have a good relationship with a partner and a wonderful family life,” he told Mr. Porter at the time, “and I can still do a good job, and as I got older, the characters became more interesting.”
Although Hartnett was a star in the early 2000s, he retired from the limelight to take care of his mental health.
“I’ve been on the cover of every magazine,” he explained to Details in May 2014 (via Us Weekly). “I really couldn’t go anywhere. I didn’t feel comfortable in my own skin. I was alone. I didn’t trust anyone.”
The Minnesota native said his departure influenced what roles he could take on.
“Fortunately, I’m still being offered film and television roles, but years ago, if I saw a role that I wanted, I had a good chance of getting it,” the Terror Tales actor said. “When I see a role now, I have to fight for it. That’s not bad. It’s actually more beneficial. Depressing when things go wrong, but only for a minute.”
