The daughter of a South Carolina woman who disappeared six years ago claimed she last saw her mother with Gilgo Beach serial killer suspect Rex Heuermann – the day before she disappeared.
Julia Ann Bean was last seen in a truck with an unidentified man in the Red Bay Road area of Sumter, South Carolina, in early June and was reported missing on November 18, 2017.
Bean’s daughter said she recognized the 59-year-old architect, who was arrested last month in connection with the killing of three women whose bodies were found dumped on Gilgo Beach in New York.
Captioning a photo of Heuermann, she said, “I have chills… I saw him, according to a text message received by The US Sun.” “That was the last man I saw her with in person.”
The Sumter County Sheriff’s Office in South Carolina said it will investigate allegations that Bean was dating the alleged killer, who had ties to South Carolina.

“We’re going to investigate it from our side,” investigator Scott Bonner told PIX11 News on Monday.
The investigation began after Bean’s friends and family asked officers to investigate Heuermann in connection with her disappearance.
A friend of the victim, Heidi Kovas, has been drawing attention to Bean’s case since her disappearance six years ago.
Kovas told the US Sun when she saw Heuermann’s victims on the news in July, her “jaw dropped” because she believed they bore a close resemblance to her missing boyfriend.
“All suited Julia,” said Kovas. ‘Everything. The blonde hair, the green eyes, the fact that she was so petite.
She said Bean’s daughter knew right away, too.
“She knew him straight away,” Kovas told Pix11. “She recognized him immediately.” She said that was the last person she ever saw with her mother.’
In her suspicious disappearance, Bean left all personal items at home, including her keys, cell phone and wallet. This led her loved ones to believe that she may have been kidnapped against her will.
“And also how she disappeared so suddenly… She had $5,000 in the bank, she had money in her purse, but she didn’t take it with her.” “Her meds were left on the table,” she added.

Bean’s friends and family are now asking the police to investigate Heuermann in connection with her disappearance
Heuermann has connections to South Carolina. He owns a $154,000 property in Chester, South Carolina where he plans to retire near his brother Craig
Land registry documents show that Rex Heuermann bought land in Chester for $154,000 in 2021. Neighbors said he planned to set up a “settlement” with his brother, who lives on the property
“She just left home.” “It seems like someone called her and said, ‘Hey, I’m out,’ and she just never came back,” she told The Sun.
Bean went missing the night before her daughter graduated from high school.
The pair were planning to get a manicure, but when Bean arrived at the salon, she was in a truck with a man her daughter now believes was a hired man, according to The Sun.
She recalls that he introduced himself by a different name and drove a Chevrolet Avalanche, the car named in Heuermann’s case.
“I have your 3 tickets.” [to my graduation] “Just in case she lost one I gave him two to bring with him,” Bean’s daughter wrote in a text obtained by the Sun.
“He told me he had lake houses and big boats if I ever wanted to throw a boat party.” “He offered to take me to a concert and told me he wanted to marry my mom.” She added.
“I never saw her again after that night.”
Kovas told the Sun that she was certain Heuermann was her missing boyfriend’s killer.
“When I called for the first time five days ago, it was a gut feeling. And when then [Bean’s daughter] “I told myself what she told me, it wasn’t gut feeling anymore,” she told The Sun.
“I really believe that Rex Heuermann did something to my boyfriend and he knows it.” I know it. And hopefully Sumter County can no longer deny it now.”

Neighbors told Fox News that Heuermann’s brother Craig often spoke about him and his plans to buy more property in the area.

Aaliyah Bell Hall was 18 when she disappeared on November 25, 2014 in Rock Hill, South Carolina. In July, South Carolina police investigated a 10-year-old missing teenager case to see if the Gilgo Beach suspect might have been involved
“He told me when I first moved here that his brother owns the property across the street and that his brother is going to retire down here and when he does everyone will go,” the neighbor said.
His plan was to “buy everything up,” the neighbor added. Chester is a small rural town about 50 miles southwest of Charlotte.
In July, South Carolina police officers were reviewing a 10-year-old missing teenager case to determine if the Gilgo Beach suspect — who owns 40 acres of vacant land in the area — may have been involved.

Police in Rock Hill, just 20 miles from where Heuermann bought a wild 18-acre property, have confirmed they are again looking into the case of Aaliyah Bell Hall, who went missing in 2014.
The news gives Aaliyah’s family new hope for closure. She had to live without knowing what happened to the beautiful 18-year-old who disappeared nine years ago after leaving her uncle’s house.
“We had a lot of false leads, a lot of people said they saw things but nothing was solid,” her aunt Laroy Hall told in July.
“I can understand why they would want to look into this because a lot of what is being said now was said then.” “People saw a dark truck near where she disappeared.”
Heuermann, 59, was arrested last month in connection with the murders of Melissa Barthelemy (top left), Megan Waterman (bottom left) and Amber Lynn Costello (top right), all of whom disappeared in 2009 and 2010. Rex Heuermann has pleaded not guilty to the three Gilgo Beach murders
Heuermann, 59, was arrested last month in connection with the murders of Melissa Barthelemy, Megan Waterman and Amber Lynn Costello, all of whom disappeared in 2009 and 2010.
He is also considered the prime suspect in the murder of Maureen Brainard-Barnes, who disappeared in 2007.
Heuermann last appeared in court on August 1. He appeared disheveled and lost weight as he stood before the judge in Riverhead, Long Island.
The courtroom was packed with members of the media and the families of some of the women he is accused of killing.
He was smartly dressed in a black blazer, blue shirt and cream khakis and looked down at his hands for most of the hearing.
The judge barred the release of four hard drives, each containing two terabytes of evidence, which were given to attorneys and investigators but will not be made public.
Heuermann is expected to return to court in September.
