Actress Julie Trépanier is relieved to finally be able to talk about the important role she landed in the justice newspaper Untenable.
Starting in January, she will join the law firm Lapointe-MacDonald-Desjardins and play defense attorney Kim Nolin, a woman with “perceived masculine energy” who won’t let anyone impose herself on her, not even her clientele of “professional” criminals. , including human traffickers.

For the past nine months, Julie Trépanier has had to keep a secret – at least publicly – about her new role in TVA’s most popular fiction. It has been running since the end of July.
“I’ve been waiting to talk about this since February!” She told the QMI agency to a roar of laughter that she had been invited to audition.
“It really surprised me, I didn’t expect to be considered for such a big role. But I gave my best in the audition.”
Me Kim Nolin is actually a former intern in the practice of André Lapointe (Michel Laperrière) and Léo MacDonald (Sébastien Delorme). She left the country eight years ago after falling in love with a Sherbrooke lawyer, but when the man cheated on her with his real estate agent, she saw an opportunity to return to the metropolis when she defended a client facing a case in There was a connection that Leo was involved in. This case involves spouses who accuse each other of violence against their children. Leo defends the father and Kim defends the mother.
Little by little, Me Nolin, who has no children, joins the company and also works with Inès (Nour Belkhiria) and Marie-Anne (Anne-Élisabeth Bossé). Things aren’t going so well for Frédéric (Martin-David Peters).
The one that stood out in the Classé Secret, Mégantic and Désobéir series: Chantale Daigle’s choice offers with this character a beautiful “playground” to explore, especially because it is “nuanced”, she says – she is both strong and empathetic.

“Kim is a fighter, a woman with courage and who says what she thinks. What I like most is that yes, she is like that, she does her job very well, she takes her place and is respected in a harsh world, but we also see that she is a warm woman, charismatic and sensitive . She is not cruel, cold or distant, on the contrary. She is also sensitive. She goes through trials, particularly at the end of season two, and her armor breaks.”
Unimagined abilities
As we know, filming a daily series requires a lifestyle similar to that of an athlete. Julie Trépanier adapted well to her new way of life and even discovered previously unimagined abilities.

“I thought the pressure would be constant, I would be tired and have no life left. It’s not like that at all. The set is extremely pleasant, I made friends with a lot of people, there is a great atmosphere, there is no tension and it is cooperative. As for the lyrics, things are going well, I receive them well in advance. I’m discovering strengths I didn’t think I had, like when we film court hearings, and I have a lot of lines to learn.
Julie Trépanier, who has had a long career as an English speaker, will be more recognized on the street or shopping starting in January, as 1.5 million believers tune in daily to the intrigue of “Indefensible,” a series that airs Monday through Thursday 7 p.m., on TVA.
