Junior a double that pays for the drakkar

Junior : a double that pays for the drakkar

The Drakkar were involved in a series of three games in four days abroad and responded to the call with two wins out of a possible three. After a 7-4 loss to Sherbrooke, the North Shore ship recovered well, winning the honors (2-1 and 3-1 wins) of a doubles program against the Armada. Inspired by the brilliance of their goaltender Olivier Ciarlo, the crew members did a great job to consolidate their sixth place in the conference standings. Justin Poirier – a rookie – also stood out during the ride. He broke an old team record (25 goals) for most goals scored by a 16-year-old player. He is now 27.

what they said

“Two away wins with only two goals conceded, the players stuck to the plan and worked well together. Against the Armada it was like two playoff games and it was important to win them.

– Pilot Jean-François Grégoire

“After losing to Sherbrooke we had to recover quickly and we did that against the Armada. The lads kept it simple and all contributed to earning four big points in the overall standings.”

– Goaltender Olivier Ciarlo, who has stopped 58 of 60 pucks against him in the two most recent triumphs
