ATLANTA — In his upcoming memoir, actor Sam Neill, best known for his work in the ‘Jurassic Park’ films, reveals he recently battled stage III blood cancer but is now cancer-free.

According to the Guardian, who spoke to Neill, he had angioimmunoblastic T-cell lymphoma and was undergoing chemotherapy.

The outlet reports that he is on a relatively new chemotherapy drug that he will take monthly for the rest of his life.

“I’m not off the hook as such, but there’s no cancer in my body,” Neill told the publication.

A rep for Neill confirmed to CNN that he is in remission.

“I can’t say the last year hasn’t had its dark moments,” Neill added. “But those dark moments shed the light in sharp relief, you know, and made me immensely grateful for each day and for all my friends. Just glad to be alive.”

Neill is now “very well and back to work,” his rep added.

He is currently working on Apples Never Fall, a Peacock limited series based on the bestselling book by Big Little Lies author Liane Moriarty. Annette Bening can also be seen in the project.

Neill’s book Did I Ever Tell You? should appear on Tuesday. It’s available for pre-order.
