A little too long in the makeup chair!

Kacey Musgraves experienced an embarrassing wardrobe malfunction on Saturday Night Live when she accidentally left a barrette in her hair during the show's final bow.

“The clip. I forgot to remove the clip,” Musgraves, 35, wrote on

Country singer Kacey Musgraves poked fun at herself on Sunday after posting a photo of herself at the end of the show still wearing a clip of makeup while on stage with host Sydney Sweeney was standing. “The clip. I forgot to remove the clip,” Musgraves, 35, wrote on X (formerly Twitter) over a photo of herself in a blue denim maxi dress and a large silver barrette in her hair.

Despite the blunder, many of the country singer's fans assured her that the accessory looked like it matched the outfit.

“It looks good on you girl,” one fan commented.

“The way I didn't even notice because she's on duty 24/7,” a second person posted.

“Oh I thought it was intentional lol, well you looked (and sounded) fabulous either way,” a third person praised.

“The barrette realizes she's making her national live television debut,” joked a fourth person.

Musgraves' “SNL” appearance, in which she sang “Deeper Well” and “Too Good to Be True,” was her third appearance on the long-running NBC variety show.

Many of Musgraves' fans assured her that the mistake went almost unnoticed. The Kacey Musgraves hair clip incident /

Her upcoming album “Deeper Well” is scheduled for release on March 15th.

Musgraves' mishap wasn't the only viral moment to happen at Studio 8H over the weekend.

In Sweeney's opening monologue, the “White Lotus” alum revealed that her “Anyone But You” co-star Glen Powell was in the audience – and denied rumors that they are secretly dating.

Both songs are part of her upcoming album “Deeper Well,” which is scheduled to be released on March 15th.

“That's obviously not true,” explained Sweeney, 26. “Me and my fiancé produced the movie together and he was there for the entire filming and I just want to let everyone know that he is the man of my dreams and we still are “We are together.” and stronger than ever before.”

“He even came here tonight to support me. Can we cut to him?” The “Euphoria” star continued as the camera cut to Powell, sparking an outpouring of laughter and applause from the crowd.

“Yes, no, that’s not my fiancé. He's in my dressing room!” she said, referring to Jonathan Davino.

Powell, 35, later appeared in a skit in which he tried to steal Sweeney away from her boyfriend.

Powell and his ex-girlfriend Gigi Paris separated in early April 2023 after three years of dating. Sweeney, for her part, has been engaged to Davino, 40, since 2022.

In May, she wore her engagement ring for the first time in almost a year.

Sweeney and the Top Gun: Maverick actor have vehemently denied that they were ever more than friends.
