Ramzan Kadyrov is not called a “warlord” for nothing. And it goes without saying that he brought one of his 12 sons, Adam, to Ukraine, to Mariupol, where the Chechens are fighting in the ranks of the Russians. The 14yearold appeared in a video where he is seen making the acquaintance of the military while wearing military fatigues and holding a rifle.
However, as in midMarch, Kadyrov’s actual presence in Ukraine is yellow. The Chechen leader was filmed in many videos intended to testify to his presence at the front, but no one confirms it. And there’s also a “fake” photo showing him kneeling at a Rosfnet gas station, a company that hasn’t had a presence in Ukraine since 2017.

Chechen President Kadyrov said he wanted his son to “learn firsthand the concepts related to the achievements and needs of our comradesinarms,” and also made it clear that he did not agree with Russia’s move to ease military pressure on Kyiv agreed, but swore to be ready to lead an invasion of the capital.
In a sequence of the released video, the boy, dressed in a dark green military suit, is shown with his father visiting the hospital bed of the commander of Kadryrov’s henchmen, Ruslan Geremeyev, who was wounded in Mariupol.
