Karate Kid is back and with familiar faces. According to THR, the new Karate Kid will direct Jonathan Entwistle, from the series “I’m Not Okay with This” and “The End of the F***ing World”. The script for the new version is Rob Lieber, by Pedro Coelho. Despite the names mentioned, the plot of the new film has not yet been revealed.
The first “Karate Kid”, released in 1984, was one of the biggest phenomena of the year and gave way to three further sequels: “Karate Kid 2 The Moment of Truth Continues” (1986), “Karate Kid 3 The Final Challenge” (1989 ) and “Karate”. Child 4 The New Adventure (1994). In 2010, the franchise received a remake with a similar story but with new characters.
