Karine Jean-Pierre snaps at the PRESS for asking if the cocaine belonged to Hunter or the Biden family: The press secretary calls the question and the reporting “incredibly irresponsible” – but still doesn’t say NO

  • Karine Jean-Pierre called a reporter “incredibly irresponsible” at Friday’s press conference.
  • The journalist had asked her to clarify whether the Biden family owned the cocaine
  • The White House did not answer yes or no to that question

White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre on Friday snapped at a reporter who asked her to say “once and for all” that the cocaine found in the White House did not belong to a Biden family member.

Instead of directly answering “yes” or “no,” she left the door open a crack — instead calling the asking of the question “incredibly irresponsible.”

Jean-Pierre argued that the question was answered because she told the press that the Biden family was at Camp David when the cocaine discovery was made.

“You know, there has been some irresponsible reporting about the family and so I have to address this,” the spokesman said. “And I made myself very clear.”

“When I kept talking about this two days ago, when I was asked a question and media reported about it, it was clear to me: The Biden family wasn’t here, they weren’t here, they were at camp, David,” she continued . “They weren’t here on Friday, they weren’t here on Saturday, they weren’t here on Sunday.” They weren’t even here on Monday. They came back here on Tuesday.’

“It’s actually incredibly irresponsible to ask that question, and I’ll just leave it at that,” she said.

Then she threw her briefing book off the podium.

President Biden was at the White House on Friday, delivering a speech after the Supreme Court ruled that his plan to forgive student loans was unconstitutional.

Additionally, Hunter Biden was spotted leaving the White House with President and First Lady Jill Biden last Friday as they made their way to Camp David.

Before Friday’s briefing, Jean-Pierre had answered questions about the cocaine find by telling reporters to contact the Secret Service, which is conducting an investigation.

On Friday afternoon before the briefing, a spokesman for the Secret Service told that the investigation remains “open and active.”

When a question was posed to Assistant Press Secretary Andrew Bates aboard the Air Force on a Thursday, he brought up the Hatch Act.

Bates had been questioned about former President Donald Trump, who had claimed the drugs belonged to the President and his son Hunter, a recovering crack cocaine addict.

Jean-Pierre was asked on Friday to explain Bates’ decision to refer to the Hatch Act rather than respond directly to the claims.

“He mentioned the Hatch Act because he was asked the question through Donald Trump, so he was trying to be very observant,” she replied. “And that’s why he said the Hatch Act.”

She asked the reporter to read the transcript carefully.

“So we’re not dodging the question, that’s not true.” “We’ve answered that question, we’ve negotiated that question at length for the past two days,” she said.
