Karl Stefanovic confirmed on Wednesday that he has not reconciled with his former boyfriend Michael Clarke following the pair’s infamous brawl in Noosa in December.
The Today show host, 49, discussed the incident on The Kyle and Jackie O Show and admitted that it was difficult to completely put the past behind you and move on.
“Have you reconciled with Michael Clarke yet, with your personal self, independent of the sisters?” [Jade and Jasmine Yarbrough]?’ Kyle asked him.
“Kyle, it’s like a sticker.” “You rip it off, but it’s still there,” Karl said, revealing that peace had not yet been made between the two.
“There’s still a bit of stick in there,” Jackie O said, and Karl confirmed she was right.

“Is this like one of those stickers you put on your car when you’re parked in a no-standing parking lot and you can’t get the bastard away when you try to tow it away?” Kyle asked.
‘Yes. “That’s really, really deep,” Karl agreed.
Michael Clarke was at the center of a heated argument in a public park in Noosa with his ex-girlfriend Jade Yarbrough and her brother-in-law Karl Stefanovic in December.
In January, extraordinary footage emerged of a heated exchange between Clarke and Yarbrough while they were holidaying in Noosa.
In the video, filmed by a viewer, Yarbrough accused Clarke of cheating on her with his ex, fashion designer Pip Edwards, on December 17.
He was also accused of messaging the co-founder of activewear label PE Nation and confessing she was the “love of his life”.

All hell broke loose after Today show host Clarke Karl and his wife Jasmine, sister of Jade, had dinner at a beachside restaurant with accountant Anthony Bell.
The video begins with Yarbrough shouting at Clarke before she punches him in the face and pushes him away after the cricketer insists he didn’t cheat on her.
‘Am I wrong? I’m damn wrong! You’re a damn liar. I can see everything. “You called her,” she screams, apparently referring to messages between Clarke and Edwards.

Clarke then tries to reassure Yarbrough that he did not sleep with Edwards on December 17 and says that he was with Bell that night.
“Baby, you’re wrong, you’re wrong,” Clarke insists. “Baby, baby, Belly was in the house. ‘I swear on my life, I swear on my life… That’s not true, it’s not true.’
He then swore on his daughter Kelsey Lee’s life that he had not betrayed her, but Yarbrough refused to believe Clarke’s desperate protests and claimed that she had spoken to Pip.
Clarke and Yarbrough are no longer together and both have worked hard this year to put the incident behind them.
Karl Stefanovic and his wife Jasmine (pictured) had to intervene during the ugly argument between Clarke and his girlfriend, and the incident cost him his friendship with Clarke
Clarke was forced to address the confrontation during an awkward interview with A Current Affair last month.
During a conversation with Simon Bouda, Clarke desperately tried to steer the conversation towards a product he wanted to sell – a brand of lemon, lime and bitters from the company Australian Bitters – but Bouda was determined to get answers about his messy personal life.
Eventually, Clarke was cornered and talked about his infamous brawl.
Clarke said he now sees the incident as a “lesson.”
“Lessons, so many things in my time I call lessons,” he said.
“Relationships are hard, behind closed doors, and there are a lot of things that happen that we all struggle with.” A divorce, you know. Man, [the] Things I’ve been through, so sad, so hard.
“I think the only thing is you just have to do your best – ups, downs, pros and cons, good times, difficult times.”
“I’m like everyone else. To this day I’m standing here doing my best and I hope that doesn’t change.”
