Today’s show’s Karl Stefanovic cheekily attacked his former co-host Ally Langdon ahead of her debut on Monday night’s A Current Affair.

Larrikin Karl then joked that Ally had always been a little “lazy”.
Today’s show’s Karl Stefanovic cheekily attacked his former co-host Ally Langdon on Monday morning ahead of her debut on A Current Affair when he called her alongside new host Sarah Abo
“I know it’s a bit tiring for you to work nights – you’ve always been a bit lazy,” Karl said.
“How will it work at 7pm at night, what are you doing with the kids?”
Ally laughed at the joke and said the sleepover wasn’t as long ago as she thought it would be.
“I know it’s a bit tiring for you to work nights — you’ve always been a bit lazy,” Karl joked as they discussed their new role
“I thought how well I’m going to sleep these days, it’s not a 3am wake up call but the kids are still up at 5:30am,” she explained.
She went on to admit that she had “nerves” about the first show.
“I’m so looking forward to tonight,” she said.
Channel Nine confirmed in December that Ally was stepping down from her role as co-host on Today to replace outgoing ACA presenter Grimshaw, 62
“We’ve been out doing stories for the past few weeks, which is really fun, but to be honest I’m feeling a little nervous about tonight.”
She went on to say that Sarah did a “wonderful” job arguing with Karl in the hot seat.
“Sarah you are so amazing in that chair, honestly it was nice to look at,” she added.
“You look so comfortable and managed to put up with the guy next to you pretty well – It was lovely to sit at home and watch. ‘

The blonde beauty broke down in uncontrollable tears as Karl paid a very emotional tribute to his “very dear friend” and beloved co-host of almost three years.
She choked when Karl praised her, saying she was the perfect cast to follow in the footsteps of her late father-in-law, Mike Willesee, on A Current Affair.
