It was Marie-Annick Lépine, his partner and pal in Les Cowboys Fringants, who shared photos of the 46-year-old singer on Facebook and thanked Piccolo Studios for making this moment possible:
In the photos we can see Karl Tremblay singing alongside Marie-Annick Lépine, as well as Jean-François Pauzé, guitarist and songwriter of Cowboys Fringants.
Gus Van Go, the director of the upcoming album, can also be seen in a photo. “The best thing I know,” comments Marie-Annick Lépine.
The post sparked hundreds of comments from fans, including many words of encouragement for Karl Tremblay.
An album is expected this fall
On Monday, Jean-François Pauzé announced the release of a new album by Cowboys Fringants “somewhere at the end of autumn.”
The Cowboys Fringants recently postponed the rest of their tour planned for 2023, particularly in Europe, so that Karl Tremblay could take care of his health after a very busy summer between shows, postponements and cancellations. In July 2022, the Cowboys Fringants singer announced that he was suffering from prostate cancer.
The title and release date of this new album have not yet been announced. The last work published in 2019, Les Antipodes, was a great success. In 2021, the popular group released the surprise album Les nuits de Repentigny, which brings together songs rejected over the years.
