Kate McCann believes her daughter’s kidnappers found out the child was alone through notes in the reservation book of the restaurant where they had dinner that night the Tapas Bar at the Ocean Club, just meters from their home .
According to the New York Post, after Madeleine McCann’s disappearance, Kate would have found a note in the reservation book left by the person who made the reservation stating that the children would be left unattended and that information was readily available.
According to Robbyn Swan, coauthor of the 2014 book Finding Madeleine, who shared her perceptions in the documentary The Disappearance of Madeleine McCann, Kate McCann still believes that detail is linked to her missing daughter.
In Kate’s own book, published in 2011 about her daughter’s case, she reveals the implications of this detail, explaining that since the children in the group all slept at the hotel, they always asked to be seated at the same table the one with the best view for the apartments.
