A royal pain.

Kate Middleton visited High Down Prison on Tuesday morning with a mysterious hand injury.

Kensington Palace revealed that the injury, which resulted in bandages around two fingers, was due to her playing on the trampoline with her children. A spokesman added that it was a “minor injury” and “nothing serious.”

The 41-year-old Princess of Wales, mother of Prince George, 10, Princess Charlotte, 8, and Prince Louis, 5, visited the prison as part of her role as patron of the Forward Trust to see how the inmates and their families are supported by addictions in the run-up to Addiction Awareness Week.

She wore a dark blue suit for the visit and sported beach waves and new curtain bangs.

High Down is a men’s prison with around 1,100 prisoners, and the Forward Trust offers a variety of services there, including workshops for addicts and their families and abstinence programs.

This is one of Middleton’s first royal engagements since the summer holidays ended and her children returned to school.

Earlier this month, she wore Queen Elizabeth’s pearl earrings on the first anniversary of the monarch’s death while attending a memorial service.

Middleton, her husband, Prince William, and Princess Anne, 73, also recently joined Mike Tindall, 44, and his co-hosts James Haskell and Alex Payne on Saturday’s episode of their podcast “The Good, The Bad & The Rugby.” ” During the chat, it was revealed that the dapper Middleton is competitive in college boys’ favorite sport: beer pong.

“I’m not saying you’re overly competitive, but…” Tindall, who is married to Princess Anne’s daughter Zara, 42, said on the podcast. “I saw them playing beer pong!”

She also confessed that she and Prince William, 41, were too competitive to play sports together.

“I don’t think either of us managed to finish a game of tennis,” Middleton said. “It becomes a mental challenge between the two of us.”

The beginnings of the relationship between Kate Middleton and Prince William will soon be explored in the Netflix series “The Crown” (played by Ed McVey, 23, as Prince William and Meg Bellamy, 19), which returns for its final season at an unannounced date fall.
