Thirteen days after being rushed to hospital for mysterious abdominal surgery, Princess Kate has returned to Windsor where she will spend her long recovery away from an official engagement.

“The Princess of Wales has returned to her home in Windsor, west London, to continue her recovery following her operation. She is making good progress,” Kensington Palace said in a brief statement on Monday.
“The Prince and Princess would like to warmly thank the entire London Clinic team, particularly the dedicated nursing staff, for the care they provided,” he added.
A spokesman for Prime Minister Rishi Sunak welcomed “great news for the royal family and, I'm sure, for the wider public.”
On January 17, the announcement of 42-year-old Kate's hospitalization for “abdominal surgery” surprised the United Kingdom, especially since the palace had not provided any information about the illness from which the wife of the heir to the British throne, William, was suffering.
The monarchy had only leaked the fact that it wasn't cancer.
