While the rest of the family wore sleek and sophisticated navy blue, Middleton took the spotlight in a red and orange button-down coat. The garment featured a high collar that she wore upright and a long row of buttons that created a slim silhouette. Inside the coat, a navy blue lining matched the Duchess’s navy blue dress, which matched her family’s celebratory look.
Subtly accessorizing, Middleton wore a pair of gold, medium-sized, rectangular hoop earrings and pulled her hair into a low-back ponytail, emphasizing the formality of the event. The bright color added a whimsical touch to the festive day. The Duchess’ sapphire and diamond engagement ring from Prince William – known to have belonged to Princess Diana and was passed on for the couple’s wedding – also elegantly and subtly complemented the navy blue accents of her ensemble and that of her family.

True to her signature style, Middleton deftly paired her accessories and wore a pair of navy blue pumps to match her dress, coat lining, and her family’s ensembles. The pointed heel stylishly rounded off formal wear, showing both versatility and instant sophistication. The style is perfect for a night out as well as punctuation for a sophisticated and elite event like the Platinum Jubilee Thanksgiving.
