The Princess of Wales has long been known to recycle her stylish ensembles.
But the 41-year-old queen also seems to like to iterate on certain cuts and styles when it comes to her lookbook.
It seems that once Kate Middleton knows what she likes, she sticks with it.
The mother-of-three was spotted at the Order of the Garter this week in a polka dot Alessandra Rich dress that’s almost identical to her Ascot 2022 ensemble by the same designer.
Elsewhere this month, Kate opted for the Self-Portrait brand when she (appropriately) reopened the National Portrait Gallery on Tuesday.

Wonderful in white! Elsewhere this month, Kate opted for the Self-Portrait brand when she (fittingly) reopened the National Portrait Gallery (left) on Tuesday. And she’s clearly a fan of the company, as she wore a very similar £400 white bespoke dress from the retailer to an event in 2021 (right).
She’s a fan! Kate has sported similar stylish silhouettes from Self Portrait more than once
The royal looked glamorous as ever in the all-in-one blazer and skirt dress, adorned with ivory bouclé fabric and embellished detailing at the pockets.
And she’s clearly a fan of the company, as she wore a very similar £400 white bespoke dress from the retailer to an event in 2021.
Repli-Kate also recently struck again when it came to one of her favorite basics: blazers.
The princess is a fan of relaxed silhouettes in fashionable colors like black, white and red.
Whilst attending college in Derby in February she wore a £69.99 cream double breasted dress from Zara.
And last summer, she kept her chic look with a very similar £50 supermarket blazer.
Speaking to FEMAIL, style expert Lisa Talbot says the princess’ “style personality” has evolved into a signature aesthetic that often accentuates her athletic physique.
“Her look, while evolving over the years, has largely stayed and resembles the silhouettes she’s chosen,” Lisa said.

‘[Kate] Obviously she’d rather stay more structured and complement her body shape.”
She added, “We all have a style personality that we’re naturally attracted to. It shows in the styles, shapes, colors and brands we choose.”
“They’re the ones that give us confidence, which is why we repeat them regularly.”
She says the Princess of Wales assembled her jewelry to evoke class and elegance.
“Kate is a classic style personality, but we see her in more traditional traditional styles and prints,” explained Lisa.
“That’s her signature style that she created.” We can also see that her style is also her personal brand.”
Scarlet Style! Last year, during a trip to Copenhagen, Denmark, she showed off her stylish flair with another £59.99 red Zara blazer and a white ruffled blouse

The royal clearly has a penchant for certain cuts and shades.
Kate has been known to enjoy a pop of color with a bold scarlet — especially in sleek, form-fitting jackets.
In 2016, Kate wore a £49.99 Zara blazer to the Queen’s birthday party, exuding glamor and confidence that would become one of her trademarks.
But the silhouettes became clearer and less relaxed.
On a visit to Anglesey in 2019, the royal looked stunning in a £762 red wool blazer by Lorenzo Serafini.
And three years later, during a trip to Copenhagen, Denmark, she showed off her stylish flair with another £59.99 red Zara blazer and a white ruffled blouse.
Another signature hue in her wardrobe is, perhaps unsurprisingly, a vibrant royal blue.
And the powerful, bold hue usually requires a very sophisticated blazer cut.
A case in point is her bespoke Catherine Walker coat dress, which Kate wore to the Commonwealth Day service at Westminster Abbey last year.
It sounds similar to her Eponine dress, which she reportedly debuted at an engagement in 2017.
The princess also clearly favors polka dot prints – she last showed the design on Monday at the Order of the Garter.
But Kate’s love of the motif goes back years: she chose a breezy, light blue printed dress to introduce Prince George to the world in July 2013, in a look that was emulated by new mums across the country.
She has also worn polka dots on several occasions at Wimbledon.
In 2017, Kate kept it classic with a white and black square-neck Dolce & Gabbana creation, and in 2021 opted for a more casual take on polka dots, pairing an Alessandra Rich skirt with a simple white tee.
