Radio stars Kate Ritchie, Michael “Wippa” Wipfli and Ryan “Fitzy” Fitzgerald nearly kept some passengers waiting at Sydney Airport on Friday.

After passing through the terminal, Nova FM presenters Fitzy and Wippa, with Kate, managed to board their flight to Darwin after boarding closed.

Kate, 44, seemed ready for a tropical winter wearing a breezy, loose-fitting navy shirt and matching trousers.

The former Home and Away star wore her glossy dark hair down and let it flow behind her as she glided through the airport.

Her makeup was light and subtle, creating the natural look that fans have come to expect from her.

When she arrived at the gate, she was carrying a flashy purse over one shoulder and a larger black tote bag over the other.

To complete her vacation look, she added a pair of black casual sandals.

The boys were dressed even more casually: Wippa wore a gray t-shirt, blue shorts and trainers, while Fitzy opted for black shorts, a white t-shirt and a black sweater with gray trainers.

The radio hosts rushed onto the plane and eventually flew to Darwin where they plan to host their special, Fly Away to the NT.

When they arrived safely, the trio shared a photo on Instagram of themselves enjoying a beer on a yacht in the NT with the caption, “It’s safe to say we’re in love with the NT.”

This comes after radio star Tim Blackwell appeared to confirm rumors of a feud between himself and former Nova FM co-host Kate last month when he appeared on The Shock Jocks podcast.

When asked what prompted Kate’s exit, the 41-year-old replied: “That’s a question for her, I don’t know.”

He then added, “I think it ran its course and I think she wanted another chance … and [new host] Ricki-Lee Coulter was there too.’

Kate had left the show after a long absence and a stint in rehab for alcohol addiction.
