Kate Winslet wasn't one of those happy in the spotlight.

Quite the opposite. The English actress revealed that her life became “pretty unpleasant” after starring in James Cameron's 1997 film. In an interview with Porter magazine, she said that she had difficulty dealing with the media attention after starring opposite Leonardo DiCaprio as Rose DeWitt Bukater in the blockbuster.
“I felt like I had to look a certain way or be a certain way, and because there was so much media influence at the time, my life was pretty uncomfortable,” Kate Winslet, 48, told the publication.
And this unpleasant pressure has greatly influenced the future of his career.
“Journalists would always say to me, 'After Titanic you could have done anything, and yet you chose to do these little things,' and I said, 'Yeah, you can bet your life that I did that.' ! Because guess what?' “Fame is terrible,” she admitted.
After her leading role in “Titanic,” the highest-grossing film of its time, Kate Winslet starred in “Holy Smoke” (1999), “Romance & Cigarettes” (2005) and “Little Children” (2006), among others.
The Holiday star added: “I was obviously grateful. I was in my twenties and was able to find an apartment. But I didn't want people to literally follow me around feeding the ducks. »
Kate Winslet then spoke about what she thinks of her fame now that she's further along in her career. “I wear it really light. It wasn't a burden, nothing like that, she explained.
