Kathy Maloney exclusively told Page Six that her marriage to husband Tom Schwartz was “not perfect” in January, months before breakup rumors began circulating online.
“Obviously we are not perfect. We fight a lot. We don’t try to hide our flaws,” said the Vanderpump Rules star, whose ups and downs with Schwartz have been documented in detail throughout the Bravo series.
“We’re not trying to hide that we have problems, but rather lie and try to maintain that perfect air,” she continued, adding that the couple’s commitment to sharing the good, the bad, and the ugly in their married life was “really rewarding.” in maintaining their longevity as a couple.

After dating for almost a decade, Maloney, 35, and Schwartz, 39, officially tied the knot in 2019 – two years after the legally invalid wedding ceremony that aired on “Pump Rules.”
“When people try to act like they’re in the perfect relationship, then things can fall apart because it can be exhausting to maintain,” the Are You Gonna Love Me podcast host explained during an interview with Page Six. .
“Because we put it all out and we’re not ashamed of it…we live the truth.”
However, it remains unclear whether Maloney’s decision to ditch her engagement ring in recent days is a reflection of her current relationship status with Schwartz.
Social media lit up with rumors of a split over the weekend after Maloney posted a sparkler-free photo with best friend and former Bravo co-star Stassi Schroeder.
“I hope Tom and Kathy don’t get divorced because I love them together.” one fan tweeted in reply.

Another person expressed concern about Schwartz, stating that he would suffer without Maloney by his side.

Meanwhile, a section of fans believe that Maloney and Schwartz can find a storyline for a potential new season of Pump Rules.
“Yeah. They are working with the actors to catch another season and this is an offer,” Maloney’s follower wrote in a comment on Instagram. “And VPR is almost a divorce.”
Despite recent chatter, Maloney told Page Six in January that her alliance with Schwartz was independent of the opinions of others.
“We don’t really let people’s opinions about our relationship or our marriage get in the way because we know what goes on between us every day and that’s the most important thing,” she explained at the time.

The couple attended television writer and producer Phoebe Fisher’s birthday party over the weekend at Schwartz’s West Hollywood bar, TomTom. Although both Bravolebrities showed up, they seemed to enjoy the celebration separately as they weren’t photographed together.
Maloney’s left hand was not visible in any of the photos posted to Fischer’s Instagram account, but in one picture, Schwartz sported his engagement ring.
