Katie Price is struggling to rent out her 25million Mucky

Katie Price is struggling to rent out her £2.5million Mucky Mansion for £6,000 a month because it is “mouldy” and “haunted”.

Katie Price is reportedly struggling to rent out her £6,000-a-month Mucky Mansion because it is “mouldy” and “haunted”.

The former glamor model, 45, was once worth £45million, was declared bankrupt in 2019 and now has debts worth £3.2million.

Katie reportedly paid £1.3million for the sprawling Sussex home nine years ago and now says it is worth £2.5million.

She put it up for rent at the beginning of the year – but despite it being an attractive offer with horse stables, spacious rooms and beautiful grounds, an insider has now revealed to the Mirror that there hasn’t even been the slightest interest in it.

A source told the newspaper: “Katie is actively interested in moving out and renting something new and modern.”

“She hates the Mucky Mansion – she often calls it the House of Secrets!”

“She claims she can’t sleep there alone because the top floor is haunted by the ‘gray lady’ – not a good sell for potential tenants. “The property ad hasn’t even budged a bit!’

The “Arts and Crafts Home” is also reportedly struggling with a moldy bathroom, which is also deterring potential tenants from spending huge sums of money each month.

Other pictures show cardboard boxes, plastic bags and children’s toys that have not been put away.

The listing describes the house as a “spacious family home” with “oak joinery, beams, beams and leaded glass windows throughout”.

Web has contacted Katie Price’s representatives for comment.

Katie previously revealed she fears the West Sussex property will cause her “bad luck” despite putting money into its renovation.

Speaking on her Katie Price podcast in August, she said: “I’m still thinking about renting it, it’s just too big for me. “I’m always in Essex [where on-off fiancé Carl Wood lives] in the minute’.

‘[I want to] get something smaller. I don’t know. I just think this house is bad luck for me.

She added: “It’s such a good family home but it’s too big for me.” “It’s more of an excuse for the kids to make a mess.”

This comes after Katie dismissed reports that she could lose her Mucky Mansion due to her heavy debts.

Last month it was reported that she may have to flog the mansion to get the money she needs.

She hit back at those who questioned her finances following her bankruptcy and insisted she would not lose her mansion.

Speaking to the Guardian, she said: “People write about me like I don’t have a pot to pee in. My £2.5 million home is protected. “It’s mine – no one can ever take it.”

Katie also said she wasn’t afraid of going to prison because of her debts, saying: “If I could go to prison to pay off all of this I would because it drives me crazy.”

She explained how she lost her fortune and blamed the bankruptcy on her ex-husbands Peter Andre, Alex Reid and Kieran Hayler, as well as her lawyers.

She explained: “The ex-husbands were all three in my case.” Then lawyers. They all wanted money. Money. Money. Money. Then of course taxes.

“When you have a breakdown and are suicidal, you shut down the world. You don’t talk to anyone, you don’t answer the phone, you don’t open your letters and before you know it, a bailiff is at your door.

“Then the work stops because your head isn’t there to do it.” It’s all noise in your head. Bills come in, bills come in, you hear your husband cheating on you and it all just gets bigger.’

Katie previously insisted her million-dollar home should not be taken away from her during an appearance on The Jeremy Vine Show in March.

She said, “My house is safe.” They always say, Oh, her house will be [taken away] but it has nothing to do with my house. You could never take it away, it’s completely safe.’

However, it has been claimed that those managing her bankruptcy have the power to sell the Mucky Mansion to clear her debts if they see fit.

If you own a home, in most cases your equity will automatically be transferred to the official insolvency practitioner who will handle your bankruptcy.

They have three years to decide whether to demand the sale of the property if they believe there is enough equity to pay off a significant portion of the debt.

Katie will have to explain to the court how she plans to pay off her debts or prove that the villa is essential to her ability to work.

She films much of her OnlyFans content from the house and it was previously the basis of her Channel 4 show, in which she attempted to redesign the property after it fell into disrepair – but is currently in its third season in the air .

The Sun previously claimed Katie could not sell the villa without court approval, according to land registry documents linked to the address.

The house has a number of restrictions on cash she borrows to finance it and subsequent money used against the value of the house.

A recent document states: “The insolvency restriction has been introduced under section 86(4) of the Land Registration Act 2002 because the title of the owner of the registered land appears to be affected by an insolvency order of the High Court of Justice (Court Reference No. 1040 of.” 2019) against Katie Price, also known as Katrina Amy Alexandra Alexis Price (mortgage reference number WO 46637/19).

“No disposition of the registered estate may be registered until the liquidator of the assets of the liquidator is registered as the owner of the registered estate.”

This summer Katie hit back at internet trolls who questioned her about her bankruptcy, insisting she still “owns her £2.5million home”.

On TikTok Live, she answered questions from her followers and urged internet bullies not to “hit anyone.”

“I’m bankrupt, yes, but I still own my £2.5 million house and I’m sitting here in the kitchen doing my TikTok to you,” she said.

“Never hit someone who is bankrupt. We can all go there, but that doesn’t mean everything is bad.”

Katie continued, “Yeah, my company went bankrupt and you’re taking care of it, right?” So never hit anyone because it could happen to you.’
