  • Katt Williams recently criticized Steve Harvey in a podcast interview.
  • He said the “Family Feud” host doesn’t have the talent to make it as a movie star.
  • Williams also accused Harvey of stealing jokes from fellow comedian Mark Curry.

Comedian and “Atlanta” star Katt Williams reignited his years-long feud with Steve Harvey, accusing the “Family Feud” host of failing to crack Hollywood and stealing from another comedian.

On Wednesday's episode of the “Club Shay Shay” podcast, Williams accused Harvey of copying elements of Mark Curry's sitcom “Hangin' with Mr. Cooper” while developing his own television series, “The Steve Harvey Show.”

“The same Steve who wanted to watch Mark Curry do his entire sitcom and then stole everything Mark Curry had,” Williams said.

Cooper's sitcom ran for five seasons on ABC from 1992 to 1997. Harvey's eponymous sitcom aired on the now-defunct WB channel between 1996 and 2002.

Williams also said that Harvey wasn't talented enough to become a movie star.

“You couldn’t be a movie star,” the “Friday After Next” actor said. “There are 30,000 new scripts in Hollywood every year. None of them asked for a country black guy who couldn't talk well and didn't look like Mr. Potato Head.”

The feud between Williams and Harvey first became public in 2008 when the “Atlanta” star tried to goad Harvey into a stand-up comedy fight.

The pair performed in Detroit on New Year's Eve that year, and Williams made several personal jokes about Harvey.

After Williams' interview with former NFL tight end Shannon Sharpe went viral, fans resurfaced old clips by Curry accusing Harvey of stealing his comedy material.

During an appearance on Fox Soul's “The Mike & Donny Show” in 2019, Curry said the couple fell out after Harvey allegedly used his material on his NBC talk show “Steve.”

“When he was on that bullshit talk show he had, he did all of my Halloween material in one Halloween,” Curry said. “Someone called me and said, 'Homeboy is doing your material.'”

Curry continued: “This is true, what really happened to me. And my thing is, you didn't have to do that, homeboy. Motherfucker, you made enough money. You've earned enough money. You've done enough. Why are you on my material?”

Representatives for Harvey and Curry did not immediately respond to Business Insider's requests for comment.
