Katy Perry has sold her music rights to Litmus Music.

After several months of rumors, the California Gurls singer has sold the rights to her catalog to Litmus Music for $225 million, the company announced on Monday (18Sep23). The deal includes the star’s share of the master and publishing rights to the five albums she released between 2008 and 2020: One of the Boys, Teenage Dream, Prisma, Witness and Smile. .
In recent years, the 38-year-old singer has slowed down to focus on her Las Vegas sojourns, her philanthropic work and taking care of her family with her fiancé Orlando Bloom, with whom she has a daughter.
Litmus Music was co-founded by former Capitol Records president Dan McCarroll. The company, which focuses on the acquisition and management of publishing and recording rights, was founded in 2022. The first major acquisition came with the acquisition of the rights to the masters from Keith Urban.
