34yearold actor Kayky Brito is going through the motions physiotherapeutic and speech therapy treatment seeking recovery after being run over on the edge of the Barra da Tijuca in Rio’s West Zone. The information can be found in the communication from the Copa D’Or hospital in the south zone of Rio, where he is hospitalized. on Monday afternoon (18).
The actor was hospitalized on September 2 after being run over in Barra da Tijuca, in the city’s West Zone. He crossed Avenida Lúcio Costa in front of the pedestrian crossing.
Shortly after the accident, Kayky received his first medical treatment at Miguel Couto Hospital but was transferred to the private hospital the same day.

According to orthopedist Alberto Gotfryd of the Hospital Israelita Albert Einstein, polytrauma indicates a serious injury to at least two organs or two different parts of the body. Despite the severity of the accident, the actor’s spine was preserved.

An app driver ran over the actor while driving another passenger in the Barra da Tijuca area at number 4,700.

The driver was then taken to the 16th DP (Barra da Tijuca) and the Instituto MédicoLegal (IML) in central Rio, where he underwent a blood alcohol test.
According to the police, the driver of the vehicle was not found to have consumed alcoholic beverages and was charged with causing bodily harm in traffic.

In a statement to police, the driver stated that Kayky suddenly crossed the street while running. He also said he tried to swerve and move into the right lane but was unable to avoid the collision.
Two days after the accident, the passenger in the app car gave a statement. She told police that the vehicle was traveling within the maximum speed limit of 70 km/h on the road.
The next step in the investigation is to find out if the car was speeding. An investigation was requested for this purpose. A surveillance camera recorded images of the accident and they confirm the version given to the police by the driver.
