His friend Bruno de Luca, who was with him at the time of the accident, is not mentioned in the video. The two friends continue to follow each other on social media.

Remember the case

The actor was hospitalized in the early hours of September 2nd as a victim of multiple trauma after being run over on Avenida Lucio Costa in Barra da Tijuca, western zone of Rio. He spent 27 days in the hospital and upon discharge, doctors said Kayky would continue treatment at home.

Kayky Brito was at the Dona Maria kiosk with Bruno de Luca when he decided to walk to his friend’s car, which was parked across the street. On the way back he was run over by Diones Coelho da Silva, who was coming from Recreio on Avenida Lúcio Costa towards Barra. The app driver was carrying a passenger accompanied by her daughter.

After the accident, Diones was taken to the Instituto MédicoLegal (IML), where he underwent a blood alcohol test, which police said revealed no alcohol consumption. In a statement to police, the driver of the vehicle stated that the actor “suddenly crossed the street while running.” He also stated that he was in the left lane and tried to move into the right lane, but was unable to avoid the collision.

Shortly after the accident, the driver, Diones Coelho da Silva, parked the vehicle and called the fire department. In her testimony, passenger Maria Estela Lima stated that the driver was not speeding and that he helped the victim.
