Kelly Osbourne shared how Matthew Perry made her feel good at her first meeting with Alcoholics Anonymous.

On Tuesday’s episode of Osbourne’s podcast, the TV personality recalled how “nice” the late “Friends” star was to her when they first met when they were 19.
“It was the very first AA meeting I attended, and it was held on Sunday morning in (Pacific) Palisades (Editor’s note: an upscale Los Angeles neighborhood),” she began. “I was shitting myself and there were so many people there, I hated it and thought I didn’t belong. I felt worthless. I just wanted to run because I knew where I was and how to get home from there. He came to me because it probably showed that I was having trouble. He gave me a “60 second token” and said, “Hold this for 60 seconds. If you can do it, you can skip the next 60 seconds.” I said, “Okay.” And I still have it somewhere. I just remember him being so nice. »
His brother Jack Osbourne added that Matthew Perry, who died in October aged 54, regularly attended meetings at the family home.
Kelly Osbourne, 39, has spoken openly about her battle with drug and alcohol addiction over the years. After nearly four years of sobriety, she relapsed in 2021 and has now been sober for over two years. The Friends actor struggled with an addiction to alcohol and painkillers for many years. In addition to acting, Matthew Perry dedicated his life to helping other addicts, including founding a center called Perry House.
