Once again, Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos are dividing fans with their sex jokes, and this one might be one of the weirdest.

On October 20, in a recent episode of Live with Kelly and Mark, the Live Wire writer and Consuelos shared some explicit details about their sex life and compared it to frogs. Ripa discovered on the show that female frogs “can fake their own deaths to avoid unwanted attention from males,” and quickly compared this to her and Consuelos.
“Let me just say they learned this from us,” she said, referring to her and her husband’s sex life.

Consuelos joked that he had to hold a mirror up to Ripa. So if she’s “faking her own death, I’ll hold it over her face to see if she’s breathing. If it fogs up, it’ll be a nice Friday night!”
“That’s why I learned to hold my breath for seven to 18 minutes,” Ripa added. “He keeps thinking I’m dead.”

Well, we don’t want to be embarrassed at all. If you’re happy and everyone agrees, who are we to judge? However, not only are these comments proof that Ripa and Consuelos literally have no filter when it comes to their sex lives, but they also show that the internet has some opinions on their “jokes.”
Dr. Ruth Westheimer retweeted Page Six’s report and said, “Pretending to sleep or having a headache does happen, but it shouldn’t happen.” Better say why you’re not ready for sex at that moment and pick a better time so your partner has something to look forward to.”
However, some users liked the jokes and said the joke showed the couple’s playful energy, saying: “Some of you haven’t had a playful partner and it shows.”
Ripa and Consuelos met in 1995 and eloped a year later in 1996. Since then, they have welcomed three children: Michael Joseph, born in June 1997, Lola Grace, born in June 2001, and Joaquin Antonio, born in February 2003.
