In the brief snippet of the episode shared Monday, the Miss Me More singer recalled, “There were breakups, there was years of couples therapy. There were quite a few nights where you slept on the couch,” per People.

She continued, “I don’t think it was the first night, but it was a night where I thought this isn’t what I want.”

The talented performer, who first hooked up with Evans in 2017, explained that she slept on the couch because there was a “sense of separation.”

Kelsea further added during the trailer: “We hadn’t seen each other, there was a lack of effort to see us. I got angry because every time we saw each other I felt like I was carrying that burden and I was tired.

Speaking further about her divorce from the Australian star, the singer explained: “When he puts out a song about being blind, he takes half the house he didn’t pay for.”

“How have I been married to this person for so long and had no idea that this character is in this person?” She asked.

Morgan released a song titled Over For You in October 2022, a month before their divorce was finalized.

The track’s lyrics include ‘How long have you waited/to take our pictures down?/How long have you been on hiatus?/Why am I just finding out?’ and ‘What are you telling your parents?/What are you telling yourself?/ Was something missing/Or is there someone else?’

The singer released her own EP called Rolling Up With The Welcome Mat on Valentine’s Day, with a track titled Blindside.

Some lyrics in the tune also referenced their breakup: “Like that one time in 2019, before this big show, we had a big argument/I slept on the couch and then the next night you put your suit on/me put on a smile and sang about how it’s okay to cry and die inside.

Kelsea also admitted to host Alex Cooper: “I didn’t want to have a wedding. … I swore I would never marry.’

The Kiss Somebody singer-songwriter added: “She knows I’m not the type to speak publicly about things like this. If that’s what she needs to heal, I hope it helps.”

“Anything I ask of you when you’re on my pages, please don’t be mean. Don’t be mean to Kelsea, don’t be mean to each other. Life’s too short,” Morgan concluded.

The two began dating in 2016 and tied the knot a year later in 2017 during a romantic ceremony in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. However, in August 2022, the singers announced they were divorcing after nearly five years of marriage.

In a statement on her Instagram, Ballerini revealed, “I’ve always tried my best to share my life with you in a real and vulnerable way, while also protecting layers of my private life as they unfold. This is now a public record, so I wanted you to hear directly from me that I’m getting a divorce.’

She added that the decision was “difficult” and that her “journey” was “over.” The singer emotionally expressed that she was “grateful for the years of marriage to Morgan and hopeful for the seasons to come.”

Her ex also penned his own brief statement, writing: “I am extremely sad to confirm that Kelsea and I are separating after almost 5 years of marriage. I wish it were different, but unfortunately it isn’t.”
