Kennedy reaffirms presidential candidacy against militarism in United States

“Iraq is much worse now than when we arrived. We are killing more Iraqis than Saddam Hussein ever killed,” explained the Democrat

Robert F Kennedy Jr.

247 Democrat Robert F. Kennedy Jr., son of assassinated Senator Robert F. Kennedy and nephew of former President John F. Kennedy, said in a speech that his candidacy for the presidency of the United States was aimed at militarism in the country.

He condemned the war in Iraq and recalled his uncle’s clash with the US military. “When my uncle took office, two months later he was fighting his intelligence apparatus and his military… In the middle of the Bay of Pigs, he realized they were lying to him. He recognized the role of intelligence: providing the militaryindustrial complex with a constant warfare. And then the neocons and the CIA went to Iraq and did regime change. We Spent $8 Trillion and What’s in It For Us? Nothing… Iraq is a lot worse now than it was when we went in there. We have killed more Iraqis than Saddam Hussein ever killed.”
