Kerri-Anne Kennerley pays heartbreaking tribute to her late husband John on their 39th wedding anniversary – following the death of boyfriend Michael Parkinson
Kerri-Anne Kennerley has shared a rarely seen photo to mark her wedding anniversary with her late husband John.
The former Studio 10 presenter, 69, posted to Instagram on Friday a black and white photo of the newlywed couple posing alongside fellow TV presenter Michael Parkinson.
“Today would have been John and my 39th wedding anniversary,” she began.
She then celebrated the life of Parkinson, who passed away earlier this week at the age of 88.
“It is also a day to celebrate Sir Michael Parkinson.” “It has been a privilege to know him as a friend and someone who has been a huge inspiration professionally,” she wrote.

“I will never forget those two weeks on Good Morning Australia with Michael, an absolute master class,” she added.
Kerri-Anne tragically lost John in February 2019 after suffering a fall from a balcony in 2016 that left him partially paralyzed.
In September last year, she spoke to Chron Australia about her grief and admitted she misses everything about her longtime love.
“You know, the little things, the big things.” There’s no such thing as a day… But as the years go by, I think it gets a little bit easier. [But it] “It doesn’t make it any less lonely,” she says.
Kerri-Anne is still struggling with heartbreaking grief over the death of her loved one, as she reported to Chron Australia in September
Kerri-Anne recalls one of the “millions” of memories she cherished when John was alive.
“Sunday mornings I always have breakfast in bed with freshly squeezed orange juice and hot toast because I hate cold toast and eggs,” she says.
‘And we just sit there and read the papers and discuss things about the world.’ You know, that really cozy time at home.’
Though she wouldn’t say if a future romance is on the horizon, Kerri-Anne says she has a great support network to help her weather the waves of loneliness.

“I miss everything,” Kerri-Anne previously told Chron Australia of her late husband
“I have a lot of great friends and family.” “I’m very, very close to my sister and brother-in-law,” she explains, adding that she recently returned from her first trip abroad in three years.
“I have sensational friends who are very thoughtful and include me in many things, as does family.”
John, who married the former Studio 10 presenter at the Sydney Opera House in 1984, suffered a fall from a balcony in March 2016, leaving him paralyzed and confined to a wheelchair.
Kerri-Anne devoted most of her time to caring for him full-time before he passed away on February 27, 2019 at the age of 78.
