Kevin Costner has responded to spousal support claims from his wife Christine Baumgartner.

According to court documents obtained by Peoplethe star of Yellowstone denied her ex’s request for $248,000 a month in child support in California Superior Court on Wednesday, June 28. The legal documents called the claim “grossly exaggerated and unjustified” and noted that the “benchmark for monthly child support, based on Kevin’s gross income available for child support, is $123,620.”
The comedian also emphasized that “providing minor children with more than the bare minimum does not involve ridiculous extravagance designed primarily to benefit the parent receiving child support.”
The actor’s legal team also accused Christine of using her children to meet 60% of his personal expenses. And Kevin Costner’s attorneys are guided by the aesthetic routine of whoever filed for the divorce.
