After their messy divorce was finalized in September, the back-and-forth between Kevin Costner and Christine Baumgartner is reportedly not over — much to the dismay of their friends.
A source said Costner and Baumgartner, who were married for 18 years before she filed for divorce in May, are back on good terms after battling in court over the marriage and support for their three children.

“Christine sees the positive side of refriending Kevin as she came away with a lot less than she bargained for,” a source told the National Enquirer, as reported by Radar Online. “They are welcoming, which is a relief for Kevin. Even after all the bad blood, he still has a soft spot for her.”
“But you get the feeling that Christine is using this to her advantage – she’s getting him to let his guard down in the hopes that he’ll give her more money,” the source continued.

According to the magazine, Baumgartner’s repeated attempts to get more money in the divorce have left a sour taste in his pals’ mouths. In the end, Baumgartner and Costner’s divorce was recognized and she received a payout of $1.5 million, and Costner was ordered to pay $63,000 a month to her children Cayden, 16, Hayes, 14, and Grace (13) to pay.
Now that the dust has settled, the couple is reportedly no longer in the mood to fight, but those around them sense that trouble is ahead.
“She got her revenge – and is over it. Things are better between them because they don’t argue anymore,” the source said. “People around her say Christine would go further and make this a friends-with-benefits situation. He would try, but he should be careful – because it could cost him.”
