Almost a year after their split, it was revealed this week who would have been the third party in the dispute that ultimately kept them at bay. Various American media outlets claim that he was a man very close to marriage.

As stated in the documents of their divorce and the subsequent legal battle over the division of assets, Costner asserted that Christine insisted on the separation and that he never understood the real reason. The American media US Weekly revealed, according to close sources, that “their close relationship was the elephant in the room that everyone was talking about.” This would have angered Costner, who avoided confirming his rumors and alleged perceptions during the trial because he had none had evidence of infidelity. It should be noted that before marriage, both of them signed a marriage contract, in which they established a special section on this issue.
The director's radar also went on alert when Christine and Josh traveled to Hawaii together in the middle of last year. What was initially presented as a trip with friends later led to the start of a relationship that continues to this day. In August, People magazine published the motions from the designer's lawyers asking the actor to present convincing evidence of his infidelity in court. It's worth noting that up to this point the finger hadn't been pointed at Connor.
“[Kevin] It is not known for certain whether Christine had any “extramarital romantic affairs” before the separation and, if so, whether she spent any of his money or charged any expenses related to her affair(s) to credit cards paid for by him.” The Lawyers testified in one of the hearings, emphasizing: “He has no documents relating to the 'extramarital love affairs' in which he participated, as he was not involved in any.”
Meanwhile, the secret source who shared exclusive details with Us Weekly said, “Christine doesn’t think Kevin has anything to complain about. Josh was Christine's rock during the divorce. If Kevin has a problem with that, that's on him.” Apparently the friendship grew closer when the financier loaned the model $20,000, half of which she used to support her mother. But this was not checked either.
