Two days ago, Kevin Costner’s estranged wife Christine was seen smiling as she walked out of a court hearing in the ongoing divorce case following a positive verdict.
How quickly the dynamic has changed.
On Friday, it was the Yellowstone actor who recorded a victory when California Superior Court Justice Thomas Anderle granted Kevin’s motion for a motion to bar Christine from taking certain items from her luxurious home in Carpinteria, California .
“Christine is allowed to remove her toiletries, clothing, handbags and jewelry,” the signed order reads, according to People. Meanwhile, his wife, to whom he has been married for 19 years, is not allowed to take “any other property, including but not limited to furniture, fixtures, appliances and works of art”.
Kevin had applied to the court on Thursday to forbid her from taking his property with him. His side argued that there was “no joint property” in their prenuptial agreement and that items on a list of what she wanted to take when she left the house were not hers. They also complained that the list was too general.
Christine’s team responded that their list included photos of the items. They said Kevin “complained that the reference to ‘some pots and pans’ was so vague that he couldn’t agree to their removal,” despite earning $24 million last year.
She argued, according to The Blast: “There’s no secret about what I want removed. Kevin will not be harmed by removing the items I have listed, especially personal items like my Peloton bike and family heirlooms.” .”

Also on Friday, People reported that Kevin claimed in a court filing that his wife had been secretly plotting their separation for months before telling him in April that she was planning to file for divorce.
“Months before the breakup,” the doctor read, “although the parties had always leased their cars, without.” [Costner’s] knowledge or consent, [Christine] bought an expensive vehicle for her personal use (probably because that [prenuptial agreement] allow her to take this vehicle with her).
The story goes on
He also accused her of taking “cash advances” on employee credit cards and on his own property without his permission.
In response, Christine claimed Kevin tried to “denigrate” her in the media.
This chapter of messy divorce begins when Christine (née Baumgartner) moves out of the palatial home she shares with Kevin and their three teenage children. On July 5, she was ordered to do so by the court after she claimed he was trying to kick her out. Meanwhile, Kevin claimed that Christine refused to leave, violating what they had agreed before the marriage.
As Yahoo previously reported, Christine is entitled to a $1.4 million divorce settlement under the terms of her prenup, which she is contesting.
After his first divorce from then-wife Cindy, which was reportedly one of the most expensive in Hollywood history, the Oscar-winner tried to have some solid paperwork ahead of his marriage to Christine. While a hearing date has been set in November regarding the validity and enforceability of the marriage contract, the judge has so far signaled that he believes the document is binding, according to Yahoo legal sources.
