Kherson reports casualties after Russian bombing

Authorities in Ukraine’s southern Kherson region reported new Russian attacks on Wednesday night, with at least one person killed. A 41-year-old man was killed in the regional capital of the same name, Kherson, military governor Olexander Prokudin said on Telegram. Another man was injured. There were also airstrikes by the Russian army not far from the town of Beryslaw, it was said.

In recent days, civilians have been repeatedly killed or injured by shelling in the region, some of which are still occupied by Russian troops. “Russia is currently shelling Kherson, Beryslav and villages in the Kherson region with particular brutality,” Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said in his evening video address. “This is deliberate terror on the part of the occupiers. My condolences go out to everyone who lost their loved ones!”
