Khloe Kardashian is seething after finding out her ex Tristan Thompson went behind her back to pay for daughter True’s fourth birthday party.
This week’s new episode of The Kardashians – entitled What’s More American Than Marilyn Monroe? – starts with Khloe taking photos with True before the party started at her house.
While the 38-year-old mother-of-two was quite happy during the party, she was clearly quite upset when Kris Jenner told her that Tristan had moved on and already paid for the party.

The episode begins at Khloe Kardashian’s home as she prepares for her daughter True’s fourth birthday party, snapping photos all over the garden.
“I can’t believe True is turning 4. I’m charged with raising her and I take that role so seriously. I have the opportunity to shape her into an incredible young woman and I will not take this job lightly. I’ll do the best job I can,” Khloe said in the confession.
Khloe’s sisters Kim Kardashian, Kourtney Kardashian, Kylie Jenner and Kendall Jenner arrive, although Kim – clad in an orange Balenciaga jersey and ripped blue jeans – failed to note the theme of the party on the invite.

“Wait, was the theme purple?” Kim asks when Kylie says, “It was pastels,” though Kim asks, “How would I know it was pastels?”
Because it’s on the invite, Kim,” says Khloe – who wears a pink ruffled top and matching pants – noting that Kourtney – who wore head-to-toe black – also didn’t follow the theme.
‘Should it be pastels?’ Kourtney asks Khloe, who jokes that both Kourtney and Kim didn’t see it, “It’s literally on the invite.”

Khloe shows event planner Mindy Weiss that Tristan Thompson, True’s father, got his daughter a diamond necklace for her birthday.
Mindy asks if he would come to the party but Khloe says “He can’t, he has a game tonight.”
“I don’t know if Tristan would be here today, that would be an additional burden for me. We’re really good co-parents, but I haven’t seen Tristan in person since the holiday season,” Khloe admits.

She adds that she can’t believe True is four years old, adding, “It feels like it was yesterday when she was born.”
A producer asks what Khloe was like when she was four, as Kris reveals, “When Khloe was four, she thought she was a dog and barked at everyone.”
They feature flashbacks of young Khloe, as Kris adds: “She would lick a stranger’s legs, she would beg for food. She was wild.”
Back at the party, Kris tells Khloe that Tristan called her “and he said he took care of the whole party privately.”

“No, he doesn’t mind the whole party,” Khloe replies sharply, but Kris says he already did.
“That’s nice, but I’m not going to let that happen,” Khloe adds, though Kris tells her to let him, adding that he’s “so excited to do it.”
“And I’m so excited that I could do this all by myself,” says Khloe, as Kris goes on to say that Tristan wanted to do this for his daughter.
“That’s very nice, but I’m not going to let him do that,” Khloe says before walking away from her mom.
Khloe added, “I work really hard to do elaborate things for True and I don’t need anyone’s help.”

Khloe and Tristan had been on and off since 2016 before finally splitting in 2021 after it was revealed he fathered another child with another woman and was embroiled in a paternity lawsuit.
A few months later, it was revealed that both Khloe and Tristan were expecting another child via surrogacy, revealed in the season 2 premiere of The Kardashians.
The season took the unconventional step of revealing that the season two premiere was actually filmed in July 2022…while the rest of the season was filmed before that and dates back to February 2022, when Kylie Jenner gave birth to her second child.
