Lamar Odom talks to his ex-wife about his past, Khloe Kardashian Mummy, Kris Jenner.
During his new Fox TV special Sex, Drugs and the Kardashians, the former NBA star, 43, revealed a big bombshell regarding his relationship with his ex-wife’s mother, who managed him while he was a basketball player.
“I used to call her ‘Ma’. She showed a lot of love. she was cool I loved her. We all got into business. It was a family business. I feel comfortable enough [for her to manage my money]. I’m lucky enough to do it… I made some money. I came out positive,” he said, praising her for her managerial skills.
He continued, “I don’t think people really give them credit for their family dynamic. The family is going to go through shit and I think they’ve handled their shit phenomenally well.”
Though he had nothing but nice things to say about Jenner and the family’s work ethic and dynamic, he claimed Jenner tricked him into getting caught by paparazzi shortly after the former couple signed their divorce papers in August 2015, leading to some resulted in hurt feelings.
TMZ reported back the incident as it happened, claiming Odom touched Kardashian’s arm, after which she yelled at him, “Get off me, get off me.” Stop. Stop.” An eyewitness asked the reality star if she wanted the cops called, but Odom yelled, “You’re not going to call the cops on Lamar Odom.” Kardashian later asked Odom how he knew she was there , but he gave no clear answer.
“As far as I can remember – I’m a bit foggy – but as far as I can remember she kinda made it possible for me to meet Khloe down at SoulCycle. I come down and she kind of treated me like she didn’t know me, which was a little hurtful,” Odom said during his special.
“She kind of made a scene and then paparazzi showed up out of nowhere. That hurt me. Then it kind of came out that I was trying to put my hands on her or something. And then I’m really hurt and defensive, that’s when this incident happened.”
Kardashian and Odom met in 2009 and were together for just a few weeks before tying the knot later that year. They were married for four years before finally separating in 2013.
