Fans were excited that a reconciliation might have occurred when it was revealed he would be featured on a song with Kanye West on the forthcoming album Pusha T.
But Kid Cudi has made it clear that he and longtime friend and collaborator Ye, 44, have yet to reconcile.
The 38-year-old Cleveland native – who fell out with Kim Kardashian’s estranged husband over his friendship with Pete Davidson – said on Twitter Tuesday that this will be the last song he will do with Ye.

Cudi – whose real name is Scott Ramon Seguro Mescudi – wrote: “Hey! So I know some of you have heard about the song I got with Pusha.
“I made this song a year ago when I was still cool with Kanye. I’m not cool with this man. He’s not my boyfriend and I just deleted the song for Pusha because that’s my type. This is the last song you’ll hear me on with Kanye -Scott.
The drama continued as the track listing for Pusha T’s upcoming album It’s Almost Dry, which featured a song called “Rock N Roll” starring Cudi and Ye, was released Tuesday.

Cudi has been friends with the SNL funnyman and Kim Kardashian’s new boyfriend Pete Davidson, 28, for years, but things with Ye took a turn for the worse in February.
Ye took to Instagram at the time to say that Cudi “won’t be on Donda because he’s friends with ‘You Know Who’,” a nod to Davidson when he began dating Kardashian late last year.
Cudi – who collaborated with Ye on the 2018 album Kids See Ghosts – clapped back, leaving a comment saying, “Too bad I don’t want to be on your album.”
He then called the Yeezy founder a “damn dinosaur,” before adding, “Everybody knows I’m the best thing about your albums since I met you.”
The “Pursuit of Happiness” artist then said with a peace sign, “I pray for you brother.”
The lyricist also took to Twitter to express his feelings about the situation. In a tweet, he wrote: “We talked about this weeks ago. You’re crazy for flipping the script and posting that lie just to get a look on the internet.”
He ended the tweet with, “You’re not a friend. BYE.’

Minutes later, Cudi — real name Scott Mescudi — followed with another note, in which he wrote, “God opens the door for the wrong people to get out of your life.”
Ye responded days later by posting a throwback picture of him with Cudi and Davidson for Cudi’s 35th birthday in 2019.
“JUST WANTED MY BOYFRIEND TO HAVE MY BACK THE KNIFE JUST GOES IN DEEPER,” he captioned a black-and-white flashback to a dinner at Nobu Malibu, as Davidson’s face was crossed out in red.
The sushi-filled evening pictured took place back in 2019 and also included Kim Kardashian and Oscar nominee Timothée Chalamet.

Over the years, Davidson has joked about getting stuck with the bill at that extravagant dinner for Cudi’s 35th birthday.
During an interview with Vanity Fair at the time, the actor revealed: “[Kanye] I kept ordering and I didn’t know he was coming and I already put my card down to pay thinking it was just me and Cudi.’
When asked what Kanye ordered, he responded with a confused “a bunch of rich people’s stuff,” adding that the rapper’s attitude is “order everything because I can, and then we’ll all have a bite, maybe… because.” f***k you…guy.’
Pusha T’s fourth studio album, It’s Almost Dry, is due out this Friday, May 22.
