Kid Rock says Trump asked him for his advice on ISIS in North Korea

Kid Rock said former President Donald Trump asked him for help when he tweeted about ISIS, questioned the crooner how he would deal with North Korea and showed him maps in the Oval Office.

“I make dirty records sometimes. What the hell am I doing here?’ Kid Rock opened up about the pinch moments with the former commander in chief during an interview that aired Monday night with Fox News Channel’s Tucker Carlson.

Kid Rock, who pulled up to interview Carlson in a “Let’s Go Brandon”-branded Rolls Royce, told the Fox Primetime host that he met Trump in 2017, when the then-president married former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin asked to “bring something”. interesting people for dinner.

“She called me and Ted, Ted Nugent, and I said hell yeah. Landed there. We ended up becoming friends and now we spend a lot of time on the golf course,” Kid Rock explained.

“And it’s really weird – getting calls from him and stuff. It’s just mind-blowing,” added the country star.

Kid Rock recalled a meeting with Trump when the now-ex-president “ended the caliphate,” a reference to the terrorist group “Islamic State” seizing parts of Iraq.

“He wanted to publish a tweet. And it was like — I don’t like to talk outside of school, I hope I don’t — but he said something like… and I’m paraphrasing — but it was like, ‘If you’ve ever joined the caliphate, and if you did that try, you’ll be dead,” the rocker recalled.

Trump asked Kid Rock for his thoughts on the tweet, Kid Rock said.

“I say, ‘Great. Like, yeah, tweet that out.” I thought, “I can’t think of anything better to add than [that],”‘ he said.

Kid Rock said when the actual tweet came out it was “reworded and more political and like a little bit politically correct.”

He also said he and Trump were “looking at maps and shit.”

‘And I’m like – I’m like, ‘Do you want me to do this shit?’ said Kid Rock.

A number of questions have been raised about Trump’s handling of classified documents and materials during his tenure – and even after – as the National Archives said last month that he took classified material with him to Mar-a-Lago after leaving office .

“What do you think we should do about North Korea?” Kid Rock also said he was asked. ‘I’m like what? I don’t think I’m qualified to answer that.”

Kid Rock also said it’s “so much fun” to play golf with Trump.

“He just knows how to have fun. He doesn’t take it too seriously,” the rock star continued. “He’s committed. It’s just – he just cuts it off, just opens up with politics.’

Kid Rock told Carlson after the election “it was a little bit different there,” adding that Trump seemed “great” after losing the 2020 race, which he refused to concede to incumbent President Joe Biden.

“He’s still the same guy. He sits down, he just cuts it open. He just starts cutting. It’s just how sharp he is, it’s amazing,” he said. “And you can see now, if you look at a Joe Biden interview and you look at a Trump interview, you’re just like there’s no comparison.”

He said that because Trump “speaks off the cuff…sometimes you’re wrong.”

“But I’d much rather hear someone come out of here and get it wrong every now and then than see it contrived – pretty much every politician, by the time they showed up, was all scripted at some level,” Kid Rock argued.

“I stood next to him in the White House and right next to him with the notes prepared and watched him read like a sentence and then let’s just go. And you think that’s great,” added Kid Rock.

Kid Rock also revealed that there were far more pro-Trump people in Hollywood than is commonly thought.

The rocker said people in Trump’s orbit were naming Hollywood people.

“And they went on to say, ‘Yeah, they’re in the closet.’ And I’m like, ‘These people are all gay? That’s crazy.” And they’re like, ‘No, no, no, they’re secret Trump fans.’ I’m like oh boy … that was kind of overwhelming,” Kid Rock said.

“I’m not going to talk about these people outside of school. They obviously don’t want to be open about it, for whatever reason they have it. But yes, there are a lot of them. They have no idea,” added the musician.
