Kidnapped FIRST LOOK: Chloe Ayling drama features an official photo of glamor model Nadia Parkes as she recreates a harrowing real-life kidnap

The first official photograph of Nadia Parkes as kidnapped model Chloe Ayling has been released by the BBC ahead of the release of the six-part factual drama.

The new series Kidnapped tells the true story of Chloe's abduction in Italy in 2017 after she traveled there for a photoshoot.

For the first time, Chloe's story is told in full, shining a light behind the headlines to reveal the “emotional truth” of her harrowing ordeal.

In the picture, the 27-year-old actress wore a white bodysuit and blue shorts, mirroring the outfit Chloe wore when she addressed the press with a statement at her home in the UK. The filming re-enacted the press around the model's home as she subsequently read out a statement announcing her safe return from Italy.

Nadia, who has naturally brunette hair, had wavy blonde hair for the role in which she portrayed Chloe, who was kidnapped in a six-day ordeal aged 21.

In the scenes filmed, she can be seen returning to her home in Surrey in a black taxi, where she is picked up by a group of journalists and paparazzi.

The model was lured to Milan by Polish citizen Lukasz Herba with the promise of working as a model, but was drugged and kidnapped.

After being injected with the horse tranquilizer ketamine in a Milan photography studio and packed in a suitcase, she was taken to a farmhouse near Turin in northern Italy.

She was told she had been kidnapped by a group called Black Death and that she would be sold as a sex slave in an online auction with a starting price of 300,000 euros (£265,000).

In her diary, Chloe described how Herba told her that he was an assassin working for the Black Death group, but that he was on her side after he found out she had a child.

“He talked about his murders so casually, as if it was normal. “That’s what was so scary,” she remembers. “He could have told me he was stacking shelves at Tesco, the way he talked about it.”

Calling himself MD, Herba stuck to his story that he was just the middleman protecting them from the online slave auction and warned them that Black Death was watching them.

“I was completely numb with fear.” My life was out of my hands. “I just nodded,” she wrote in her diary about her time in captivity.

She claimed it didn't even occur to her to think about running away, even after he took her to a local shoe store, because she believed Herba's story and was too scared.

The series follows her horrific kidnapping, her courage and resilience in captivity, and the subsequent trial that sent her captors to prison.

Chloe, who has since appeared on reality TV show Celebrity Big Brother, was finally released at the British consulate in Milan after six days in captivity.

Herba was later sentenced to 16 years and nine months in prison for kidnapping the British model and ordered to pay her £6,000 in compensation.

Herba claimed during his trial in Milan that she agreed to the plan to further her career.

Despite her conviction, Chloe was accused of faking her own kidnapping and found herself at the center of a media storm.

The BBC series brings the ordeal and court case to screen, drawing on legal documents, Chloe's published diary and in-depth interviews.

Written by Killing Eve and Skins creator Georgia Lester, Kidnapped also stars Adrian Edmondson, Nigel Lindsay, Olive Gray and Eleonora Romandini.

The cast also includes Adrian Edmondson, Nigel Lindsay, Julian Swiezewski and Olive Gray. Further casting will be announced later.

Nadia has already appeared in “The Bastard Son & The Devil Himself” and “Domina” and is now taking on the role of model Chloe.

Nadia said of her casting: “This is a timely and important story about how we perceive trauma in the media.”

While Chloe added: “I'm delighted that BBC Studios is telling my story and that the whole world will know the truth about what happened to me and the many details that weren't originally revealed.”

Other actors include Julian Swiezewski and Christine Tremarco.

The series is created in collaboration with Chloe Ayling and filming took place in Italy and the UK last year.

Kidnapped is coming to BBC Three and iPlayer later this year.
